Prop Angle Set At Brake

So I've finally got the motor installed, looks good. Anybody know of any rule of thumb for setting the prop? What I'm trying to avoid is when I'm motor off and just gliding, if I have to land, I don't want one blade drooping and slapping the ground. Any trick or technique to getting the blades to stop horizontally?

Typically no. Some of the electric powered 5m and 6m span stuff have a feature built into the ESC but your typical setup does not. My F5J sailplane has the motor stopping randomly but oddly enough most times the blades are folded horizontally. Most guys will install an O ring that stretches between the prop hubs to fold the blades and keep them tight to the fuselage.

30+ years of flying electrics, I've never had one break on landing (unless the entire plane broke). I've seen people install small pins that they push forward with a servo, but I think that's overkill.
