Second Reciever
I'm looking to purchase a second Rx for use with strictly sailplanes or Park flyers, and would appreciate your input. Main Rx is 7 Ch w/ TS-10 S3K Micro Servos.......... in case that helps.
I already have a ESC so I'm looking at the GP 5 channel w/ESC just as a weight reduction by combining both into the single unit.
Of the other two 4 Ch Rx's, is the Futaba worth the extra $ (hard to see the name when it's wrapped in foam).

Thanks,
John

Most of my aftermarket receivers are Hitec, which makes a very good series of receivers, from the Feather to Supreme.. the Micro 555 is quite popular and capable.
For a 3-channel park flyer, the Feather works very well. I also use mine in slopers.
Their Super Slims have the servo connectors in the end of the receiver, which makes for a thin installation.

Hi
I always use futaba recivers and I never had trouble with them. I rather spend a little more money on a part of equipment that is vital for health of the plane.
This does not mean that Hites recivers are good or bad is just that I feel confortable with Futaba.
Saludos Landi

RE: Second Reciever
FMA makes some decent combo RX/ESC 's...
I've heard no reports on the GP combo RX/ESC, but I have 3 of thier "CS-XX" series ESC's and have never had a problem with them. (5, 10 and 30 amp versions)
You will find that most of the Hobbico/Great Planes/Tower electronics are made by others. A lot of thier radio stuff is Futaba with different labels stuck on. Some is Hitech. I don't think GP actually makes their own RX/ESC... I think its someone else's with a GP label. (might be the Futaba...)
