Default What recievers do you like?

just bought an omega 1.8e. I have a electron 6 and some gws recievers. But not real confident on reliability. Dont want to loose this plane (or any other) because of a reciever failure. Any recommendations? WOuld like reliability first and weight second

Save the GWS for indoors. The Electron 6 is a great dual conversion receiver. If you want to make it lighter, remove the case; only 4 screws; and cover it with heat shrink.

The Electron 6 will do you fine. If you need the pins out the end, get the Super Slim 8 channel. I've used both to spec height with no problems with my Hitec Eclipse with Spectra module.

I think the JR 610ul is hard to beat, proven technology in a light weight case. My other choice would be a Berg receiver.
I have GWS but only in inexpensive foam planes, they work ok but I don't take chances.
If you use the GWS make sure they are the N version and not the P. The P has a very limited range.

I use Hitec Micro 555 and elecron 6 in my sailplanes, slope planes and parkflyers. Love 'em!
