Default lanier u2 build

i got mu lanier u2 today. my gws 4ch reciever came to. this thing is as tall as i am (the wing span. 74in). i am planing on rudder/elivater. this is my first glider but i have nitro plane experience. how bad could it fly anyway, its a free flight glider. there are some pics of the parts. plenty of space for 2 servos and a micro reciever. where is a good web site to get carbon fiber to reinforce the wing and fuse? shuld i cover it with fiber glass or just packing tape? all help is welcome.

i live in Richmond Rhode Island (usa). its very close to Westerly. are there any good sloap soaring sites near me?

the rudder and elivater are cut. the foam cuts well with an exacto blade but it chips when sanded.

another pic. the blueish line is the cut. i am now fitting the servos in the fuse. the reciever fits with no problem as it can sit on a quarter.

I picked one of the U2s at a yard sale..I plan to "slope her". I'm curious on how many people actually convert these to R/C and what reinforcements are recommended!
