Default Easy Star Motor

I purchased deans connectors to solder on the motor and batteries. Would I solder the male or the female connector to the motor or reverse it?

Default RE: Easy Star Motor

The battery typically has the female connector, so the live ends aren't exposed for anything to short.
Male end on the ESC connection.
The motor doesn't need the expense of Deans..
A standard JST connector pair will work here.
