'Mini' ASW 24 experiences?
Hi All,
Does anybody have experience with the Mini ASW 24 from FVK (www.fvk.de) and described at this link http://www.flyingsites.co.uk/reviews/miniasw.htm ? I'm actually thinking of the electric one but any perspective on the straight sailplane or electric would be helpful. Any more info than what's at those 2 sites would be much appreciated.
Thanks,
Dave

No, I have no experience with that model. In fact when I see small scale-models like that I just never concider buying them because they often fly very bad, and have little response and much weight for the size.
But: I discovered it have the MH-32 profile, and then it suddenly became interesting And the weight is low, if it is right! This profile flies fast and responds good on camber-change.
Might not help to much, but it looks interesting

Hi Joo,
Thanks for the encouragement. I received an email back from FVK that was discouraging though. I sent them some questions about structure/strength and they emphasized that this is not a beginner model. I've built planes before many years ago and I've been practicing hard on a good flight simulator so I thought I could get a better model. I also thought the motor on this one might help me get out of trouble in the early flights.
I'm getting pretty comfortable with orientations and movements in the simulator but maybe I should find something disposable before I go for what looks interesting. Do you have any suggestions?
cheers,
Dave
