R/C Hang Glider Project - Elevon Question
Hey guys,
I am designing a semi-scale r/c hang glider. My plan is to build the wing up traditionally with balsa/ply and use elevons to control the glider. The r/c equipment will be inside the wing and the pilot figure would be along for the ride to complete the scale appearance. My question is this: use full span elevons or partial span elevons on the outer wing panels??
Thanks
Andrew

RE: R/C Hang Glider Project - Elevon Question
So basically you´re making a ZAGI and putting a figure under it? Use an airfoil that curves up at the trailing edge and make full length elevons. Or better yet get a proven wing and strap the figure to it. I think it would be a lot more interesting to make the pilot control the hang glider as in real one. Place all the radio inside it so the CG is low and get it to balance.
Good luck and tell us how it does
