RE: Cox Dust Devil
Tom - I did find a source for the dust devil - quick tech hobbies (http://www.quicktechhobby.com/Airpla..._airplanes.htm) - I tried to call them but got no response. the web site does offer the dust devil though. After much soul searching, some good advice from the guys in this forum, and a lot of internet hunting I have decided to get myself a multiplex easy glider pro.
I am not overly enthusiastic about a foamie but the reviews are very good on the easy glider and it does have ailerons, which the dust devil does not. The finished price comes in about the same. If you check out the you-tube clips on the easy glider you will find a lot of them and flight videos look good. I placed my order today. Along with the pro model I bought the power pack from multiplex as well - which has a brushless motor and 37 A ESC, folding prop, spinner and associated hardware. Also ordered the 4 required servos. I expect to be building it in a few days and flying as soon as the snow melts. Good luck on your hunt.

Yeah thanks snobelt. I saw it at Quick Tech Hobby as well, but they have had some issues. Can't find an address, as well some buyers never received what they ordered. With questionable ratings I'd rather pass on it. And it doesn't seem to be available anywhere else. The Multiplex Easy Glider Pro is at least out there and available from a reliable source. You've probably made a good decision. Another motor glider that I'm looking at is the Radian. Presently I'm struggling with a Great Planes Spectra, converting it to gear drive, but it's been a struggle from the start. I'll be surprised if it ever flies. A project I'm beginning to hate. It's just a pain in the butt. I'm almost at the point of just trashing it. But it looks like I might be figuring the problems out. One of my mistakes was to read reviews on the stock Spectra and try to make enhancements before even flying it. Keeping it stock would have been easier. Live and learn.
Good luck with the Easy Glider Pro.

Tom
Here is aliitle help on the Spectra. DOn't give up on it. Its a great plane when everything is together.

Then if all else fails. I would be looking at the Radian. Lot there for the money. When you consider the
the plane, radio, battery, charger, and almost ready to fly. Hook the charger up and by the time that is done, you should have the plane done and ready to fly. Something worth looking into. There are alot of reviews for this one. Just have to search through the threads.

Thanks for the continued efforts to locate a source for this particular plane . I'm a little hesitant to deal with quicktech has I have been one of the unfortunates who got burned in my dealins with them(once bitten twice shy). Guess I'll find someother plane ,possibly a Chrysalis fron Don at DJ aerotech. Thanks again to all

Glenn,
DOn't think that you would be disappointed from the offering from DJ Aerotech on the Chrysalis. We have a group build going on and some variations of it. Would make a good second choice from the Dust Devil. Take a look at the build group. Plenty of information and support from Don and Joe too.

I would consider the Radian a better choice for a first time glider pilot, for sure.

Hello Harryb
Best bet I guess would be to post a wanted ad in the by and sell section. This has been a few years now for the particular model.
Sure somebody would have one. You may want to consider the Chrysalis from DJ Aerotech. Built one in the group build over on the other site.
