Anybody have any sloping info for northern wisconsin? At slopefly or something similar I found info for southern wi, but I can find nothing for northern wisconsin. Trying to find areas to try out around minoqua, tomohawk, rhinelander...basically anywhere in oneida/vilas counties. Any hints would be great! Either post them or pm me and let me know, thanks.

Might have a look see at rib mtn. From the ground it looks good, but never been up it to see about landing areas or anything. If you think of something let me know!

Rib Mt. only has a few open slopes, the ski slopes. Unfortunately, they all face north and the wind doesn't generaly come from the north. If I remember right, there are some open eastern slopes in the Harrison Hills. I've never been to Timm's Hill and no nothing about it but it might be worth a look. I would love to get access to some of the huge fields off of old 51 between Wausau and Merrill. Big, deep slopes there but I think it's all private land - still, it wouldn't hurt to ask. If I lived as far north as Rhinelander I might be tempted to drive up to Pictured Rocks in the UP. Big cliffs overlooking Lake Superior. With a west or NW wind, I would expect the UP to be good for sloping. Sloping has got a following down here in SE Wis. Lake Michigan bluffs are great with an easterly. Unfortunately, we in the midwest suffer a bit for lack of abundance of hills. I just looked at a web site that had photos of a Milwaukee area club that slopes off a 150' grassy landfill. (Yeah, the closed county dump) Other than the methane collector pipes sticking up all over, it actually looks pretty good with a clear view in all direction. Keep up the good hunt and if you find anything, let us know.
