Your ESC needs to have a "brake" function and it needs to be turned "on".
Most ESC's with a brake will have different strengths of brake available.

What ESC do you have?

Cloudwalker,

If you are worried about your new Radian, the airplane comes with the ESC already set to brake the prop.

Generally sport and scale models don't bother with a braking function since they are flying power on most of the time. And when you do stop the prop it's likely because you want it to descend. At such times a freewheeling prop with no power actually provides a nice slowing down function by adding a lot of drag.

And the fact that this is about a scale Wildcat suggests that it should have been in the Scale Electrics forum.
