Feedback On The Huron Dlg?

HAS ANYONE TRIED THIS DISCUS LAUNCHED GLIDER? WHAT DID YOU THINK? CAN I CONTACT YOU? DO YOU KNOW OF OTHER TYPES OF DLG? THANKS.

Huron DLG

I have a Huron DLG I've had it for about a month and am really enjoying it. It is different than any other glider that I have ever flown in the past. I'm only getting about 60 feet of alt on my launches. It does like a little bit of wind to fly in. But today I did catch a thermal and got her up to about 400 feet im guessing.

A little bit of a beast to build because of the lack of written instructions with the drawings.

Tough model though I blew the wings off on a launch came staight back to the ground. I had it flyable again with only about an hour of work.

If you intend on catching it by hand I recomend using carbon fiber ribbon soaked with thin CA on the leading edge. Just in the center section of the leading edge (about 6 to 9 inches). Also when you do this recover the wing with ultracote lite because on mine the factory covering was real brittle and got holes punched in it.

Keep it as light as possible if you intend on catching a thermal and keep the wings flying flat.
