towing?

After a few emails with my dad, who did his sailplaning back in the early 70's, he had asked me how I was going to lauch my sailplane. I told him more than likely from a High Start. He said he always did it by a tow. Now I know what towing is, because I have been in full scale sailplanes with my dad before, but never thought of doing it with RC planes. Why dont more people do this? Anything I should know before attempting? Getting someone to tow me up will never be a problem either.

Thanks,
RichD
