Hand Launch Kit

Hello, I've been away from the hobby for a couple years and would like to get back into the swing of things. In the past I have done a lot of Aerotowing, mostly large scale sailplanes and minimal towing. I have been around the hobby for as long as I can remember and flown a variety of planes. I enjoy building the planes as much as flying them.

With my current situation I would like to get a hand launch kit or smaller electric sailplane (under 72" wingspan). So what are you all flying, and what are the good kits?

Thanks in advance.

DJD

DJD, use the RCU provided search function and you'll find lots of equipment is available... then make an emotional decision and purchase one or more toys. A couple of places to start outside of RCU is ArtHobby and LaserArts, but other entry level hand launch toy makers are also good.

Fly safe, Glover

DJD: I found a WEALTH of info in the RC Groups forum; they have a Hand Launch category that will answer just about any question you might have.

Here's the link (not sure if I did that correctly - if not, just google on discus launch glider and rcgroups should be within the first 3 or 4 sites found.) Notice especially the first thread, "Hand Launch Links - Updated." That'll save you lots of time when looking for stuff.

Nope, I'm one of his sons, David. Perhaps we met at one of the many Aerotows I went to with him.
