setting up crow in a cularis

Hi everyone
Does anyone know how to set up Crow in a cularis. I have a airtronics rd8000. I currently have a y connection for the ailerons. plug into channel2.They said to activate spoilron function you have to plug ailerons into channel 2 and 6. but channel 6 is the flap connection. Just curious if someone has done this. Thanks Bruce

If you are using a Y-harness for the ailerons, it is not possible to use them for crow. With a Y-harness you can only use the ailerons as such, meaning they travel in opposing directions. For crow, both ailerons need to travel up, and you need to plug the aileron cables into separate receiver channels and mix them. I am not familiar with your radio, but with my Multiplex radio I use channel 1 and 5 for ailerons and channels 6 and 7 for flaps, and then mix them together. You can Y-harness the flaps since both flaps always travel in the same direction together. But I am not sure how to mix the ailerons with flaps with your radio

You are not activing flapperons. Flapperons are for planes that don't have flaps. Think of flapperons as "fake flaps". You have real flaps.

As Joedoe said, you MUST have the ailerons on separate channels. On my Futaba, ailerons are in Channels 1 & 7 and use an aileron differential mix to control and coordinate them.

Flaps can be on a Y cable, however, your radio may allow you to put each flap servo on its own channel too. My flaps are on channels 5 and 6, but again, that is on a Futaba radio. Airtronics uses different channel assignments. But they can be on a Y for crow.
