Looking for interest in winch product

Hello,
I am just looking for some feedback on a controller i've put together for my winch. Possibly thinking of assembling and selling it if there is interest. What it is is a fully variable speed controller for the winch based on pedal input. Instead of pulsing a pedal to open and close the relays, this device allows you to control the speed of the winch based on how far you push the pedal. My current configuration has a display built in and allows you to pick the max speed for the winch at full pedal which for me really allows for much more uniform launches. It is able to output 400 amps at 12 volts so should easily be able to handle some rough full pedal launches of larger planes.

I'm just looking for some feedback, would anyone be interested in buying something similar or would there be any features that you would like to see in something like this.

Not sure exactly what pricing would end up being, i'd have to go back and work through some of my costs.

Edit: removed cost estimate, looks like i was a bit off

Sounds interesting. I would think that this would take a little getting used to for guys that have winched for a long time. If the cost was not too expensive I would be interested in one just to see how I liked it. You may start a new trend!

I would be interested in such a device. It could make it a lot easier for newbies to learn to use a winch.

As for 400 amps, that may not be enough for BIG launches. We have measured our winch, with me launching my supra into a 10 mph wind and we hit 600 amps. We changed the timing of the motor to get it back to about 500 max.
