Best Outdoor 4-Channel FP Heli for Under $150?
I'm looking to get a heli Ican fly outside in perhaps a slight breeze (its always at least a little breezy here), as a step up from the syma s107. I've looked at the big lama and other coaxials, but Idon't think they could handle the breezes here or hte park nearby, and the 6-channel copters are more complication than I'm ready to handle. What are your suggestions on a good beginner-ish outdoor heli?

The Blade 120 SR is quite good. I love mine. When they say slight breeze they mean a very, very slight breeze. FP helis tend to act like kites when the wind comes up. Mine flies great when there is no wind, but when the wind comes up slightly it wants to climb and it can be a bear to bring down.

I had my 120 SR out yesterday in 15ish mph winds, and while Chucksolo is right about the wind carrying it up, I don't think that it became uncontrollable. I was even able to land it on its skids on uneven ground. It actually added an additional challenge and was a very fun flight.

Well, I never said it was uncontollable, I just said it was hard to bring down in a windy situation. I have always been able to bring mine down with judicious application of throttle and forward elevator. The SR is a funny size too, bigger than a 200 but smaller than a 400. Can't think of one offhand unless you can find a T-Rex of that size.

Could you guys recommend a good heli the size of the Blade SR, but fixed pitch?

-When I was looking for a fixed pitch Helicopter a few weeks ago I also found the Walkera UflyS. It measures in at 20 inches which is actually bigger than the SR and it looks pretty cool too. I've heard that Walkera is a decent company but I was not sure about parts support so I didn't get it.

Yeah, my only concern about any of the suggested models is the seeming lack of various parts. Did the recession put spare part makers out of business or something?

Yeah, I find that actually flying the 120 SR in a little wind has made me a better pilot overall.

Anyone tried a G-Tec 5889?
http://www.toptoyexpress.com/g-tec-5...pter-gyro.html
As a bigger heli I thought it looks interesting for a single rotor 4 channel, by interesting I mean cheap at like $80 to your door.

Classima is flybarless and more stable than say a HBFP or Falcon 40. The madhawk is almost as stable as a coaxial but can only handle like 4mph of wind.
Other fixed Pitch helis can handl about 8mph wind.

HBFP and Falcon 40 are used alot for beginners.
Get training gear and a few extra batteries. [link=http://goo.gl/ywE6O]Hobbypartz[/link] has good prices on batteries. JST is the typical 2S connector used on FP helis
Follow a training program like this:
