I want to say hi to all you guys on these forums and also ask a few questions. I got away from the hobby for some time now because of work, and life, ect. With all that has been going on lately I have gotten back into the hobby. I bought a bunch of stuff here local from someone that was getting out of the hobby for a great price. The stuff I bought included 2 Blade CX2’s which I have completely gone through, bought new batteries for them and now my 14 year old son and I fly them together almost everyday either in the garage or in the back yard if the wind isn’t blowing too hard (I got on eBay and also bought as many spare parts for them that I could find). I also bought brand new a Blade 70s and a Blade nano S2 which we both also have a great time with the 70s flies great and still getting used to flying the S2 with it being cp it has been a bit of a different learning curve for me. I really regret now not getting back into this hobby sooner because my son and I are having such a good time with it. Which brings me too my questions at this point. Also in that lot of stuff I bought it included a Blade 400 3d helicopter that has never been flown, my son has been asking me about a bigger helicopter that can fly in a little bit of wind (his learning curve is way further ahead than mine LOL) would this helicopter be a good 2nd helicopter or should I sell it or trade it for something else I know parts are kind of hard to find for these blade helis that have been discontinued. At this point it has been a shelf queen in my office here at home. I have gone through it following the manual and checked everything out to the best of my knowledge except for the blade tracking which I am planning to do tomorrow morning with it strapped to a table either in the garage or backyard, just depends on the weather. I am just looking for advice and options from you guys about what I should do from here and what options are best I don’t want my son to get intimidated by this hobby, he does understand that part of this hobby is also crashing and fixing LOL. Anyway any advice and help you guys could give me would be very much appreciated

Was hoping I would get some advice by now about what I should do. That hasn’t happened so bought a couple of really nice drones today to fill the gap. Hopefully will get some feedback soon.

Hi Rick,
I just posted this in another thread, but I will share with you as well. I recommend the Blade 70s. It only costs $60, comes with everything you need, and is very durable for learning. Most crashes will result in no broken parts. If you do happen to break something there are plenty of spares available. Has SAFE self leveling technology which can be adjusted as you advance. Great hobby to get your son into! Working on my 8 year old son myself
Here is the link to the heli which lists all of the details - https://www.horizonhobby.com/blade-70-s-rtf-blh4200
Happy Flying!
