Is your receiver compatible with the transmitter? Generally, one needs both to be the same brand, and even then, sometimes only certain specific receivers from that brand will work with a given transmitter.

Doesn't matter. There is not just one way to send a signal to the receiver. Most manufacturers make sure theirs is different from everyone else, so that you only can buy their products. Sometimes other companies will offer alternative receivers that work with a specific brand. Some companies sell additional components to change the signal from the transmitter to work with other receivers. But you can't count on that. So you need to do some investigating to see whether the receiver can be used with the X7. Probably not. You may have to replace it with one that can be.
