RE: Loctite & Instruction Manual question
Hey! I finally got my helicopter started up! The only thing I noticed is that after I was done playing with it there was a nasty oily residue on pretty much everything. Is that because my engine was set too rich? Thats what I'm thinking.
Peace!

Cool.
They get covered with oil, its no big deal. The way to see if you are too rich or too lean is to touch the back plate of the motor while its idleing or immediately after you shut down. If its cool you're too rich, if its too hot to hold there for atleast 3 seconds you're too lean, if its warm or gets uncomfortable after 5 seconds or so you are right there.

RE: Loctite & Instruction Manual question
I'll have to try that! Another thing I noticed is that when I throttled up it went smoothly, then at one point moving the throttle up just a bit made the engine throttle up considerably. Is that my throttle curve most likely? Also when I had the engine cutoff switch engaged the thing idled the way it should at low stick, and when I disengaged the cutoff it got a nice dose of throttle. Im going to mess around with different servo arms and maybe re-adjust the rod length.
