Everyone says nitro's fly alot easier than the small Electric ones but they are a little pricy.

Nitro you are looking 700 or so to 1000 if you don't have anything at all and want to start in the 30 to 50 range.

High performance electric like the trex is going to be about the same by the time you buy a couple batteries.

There's cheap electric for a couple hundred but as far as performance you get what you pay for.

Check the RCU market place for good deals, I just bought my first heli, a Raptor 30 fully loaded for under $500, a bargain considering that I already have the transmitter and receiver.

There is a diff between good, and good enough. If like me youe not sure you'll like the hobby or not,( a friend convinced me it was easy, himself not a flyer eather) then good enough is good enough. But the cheeper you go the slower you go. I had to learn all about my heli(a DF40 electric) from craaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaash repair, but everyone it seem crashes alot at first at least from what I read here at rc uni.
Some brands like the Blade CP are pre-flown so you know if you crash its your fault, others like Walkera(like mine) don't do J>S> for you and you had better be ready to dissisemble it and build it from the ground up.(like I ded)[:@]
But if you really are crazy like us you should be able to fly something for around $220.oo but don't expect to grow up to be a 3D champ, for that you'll need thousands.[&o]

Dannoh40,& his fly right boys
