Default OS 37 SZ-H Engine Tuning Problems

I recently fitted a os 37 sz-h engine to my raptor 30 v1, and have serious problems tuning it. The engine keeps on cutting whenever it wants to. Had it with the pros, but they dont know. Some other guys also had the same problem and eventually relaced the engines. Please Help

http://www.raptortechnique.com has two great tuning articles.

Start with the plug and fuel lines though.

What muffler are you running? That thing needs something bigger than the stock Raptor motor or it will have too much back pressure and not produce good power.

I wish I had those engines they were replacing

Thanks but we have checked everything, including fuel lines and the plug. All ok. The muffler is a jrm 37a. The real problem with this engine is the fact that it either runs too hot and then cuts or too rich with no power. It suremakes me nervous as i am only starting to fly.

Done all that still the same, but found lot of end play on carb barrel, could that be the problem?

I fitted a oversize screw on the carb barrel to reduce the end play and it seems to be working fine, thanks to all you guys that tried to help I really appreciate it.
