Default Blade 400 training gear

Bought a blade 400 and I want to install training gear on it. Anyone got a pic of B400 that I can see side and bottom so I can see how it is attached? Thanks

as long as you have it relatively evenly spaced and the balance of the heli isn't disrupted it pretty much gets zip-tied to the skids!!

if you have a production version (manufactured) it should pop on really easily!

I've seen a couple of vids that were not clear. Does it go on top of the skids or on the bottom? Should the base of the training gear be tie wrapped to the frame of the B400?

Put your training gear on the bottom of the skids and just use a few zip ties to hold them in place.

Darn....Iput my training gear onthe bottom ofthe skids and they worked great. But Ican see in the pictures that they have them on top the skids. Ican see where having them on the top would have you land on the skids(which is desired). I wonder if having them on the bottom allows you to land a little harder without breaking anything.

Having them on the bottom would absorb the blow better, from a rough landing.

Bad400, thanks for the pics! That was just what I wanted to see. Looks like you have a couple of screws in the base of the training gear.

nah man no screw`s, it may just be a light reflection.
this is the kit that my LHS had for this heli.
i`ve alway`s ran it this way, i tried on the bottom side of the skid`s first, but it seemed to cause alot more damage than i wanted.
every time it came down hard with the gear on the bttom of the skid`s they would acted like a HUGE spring and send my heli flying/bounceing into a big dollar crash.
after putting them on top of the skid`s the heli stopped acting like a pogo stick.

Hm, now I don't know how to put mine on. I was thinking about zip ties, but I'm worried it would shift around too much, and if I put it on tight it would be a huge pain to remove. The way pictured in the thread is certainly interesting, but it doesn't seem right having nothing actually anchoring them in place. I've also seen people mention using electrical tape.

I 've got a set that looks similar to yours. Without having the base secured it looks like the gear would move around.

well sense i dont use the gear anymore, and only put it on for these pictures it wouldnt be tied down.
but when it was tied down, the carbon rod`s with the orange ball`s on the end were ZIPTIED to the STRUTS.
