Default 4ch Heli for beginner.

I want to get a 4ch heli, after weeks of playing with a S107. Current budget of about $170

Iwas considering the following...

FP
Walkera CB180D
ESKY Honey Bee V2
Exceed Falcon 40 or Madhawk 300

or Co-ax
Walkera Lama 400

I want to fly it inbackyard or at park on calm days. What would be most fun? Which one iseasy to fix/upgrade?
Feel free to suggest a differnt brand or model.

thanks

I would go to your LHS and check and see what helis they carry and carry parts for. You can talk to them about your choices. JMO

you plan on learning to fly indoors or outdoors?...... I own the Walkera Lama 400 and it does not fly outside very good even the slightest breeze makes it difficult to fly, and it really to big to fly in my house. Check out Eflite as well they have many beginner friendly models and great parts support.

Of the list you posted, I'm familiar with the falcon/honeybee/walkera 4. On "calm days" they fly pretty good. They can take a lot of abuse, and very cheap and easy to repair. A backyard is big enough to learn orientation skills - tail, side and nose in hover.

The 180d has a special flybar and head setup that makes it a bit more stable.

The walkera 180z is the same as that madhawk (actually pretty much all of the xceed stuff is rebranded walkera. The falcon is a walkera 4, etc.) The 180z has a 3 way gyro. I've flown my brothers 4#6, which is a smaller version of the 180z. That 3 way gyro makes a huge difference. If I was buying I would get the 180z. These guys have good prices and quite a few different setups available - they have a couple of brushless versions that are in your price range. outside is easier than garage. not on a very windy day... but yeah lol, I started in the garage, its never felt so small, even though I probably fly outside in a space the same size as my garage... its just... psychological lol.

S107 is a mini gyro helicopter . Syma brand is great . try a GAS RC HELI or 3D helicopter when you have enough experence . you can buy a 3CH RC HELI without GYRO next time . it will be more challenge and funny .

Try this:http://www.aliexpress.com/fm-store/2...ELICOPTER.html
