Counterfeit Futaba Servos being spotted on eBay and other sites, they are GY401, S9254 and S9257.
Maybe the clone from Chinese would be much better. : )

Yea, some so-called counterfeits are actually come out from the same production line. But I guess not this with a different color metal contact...

CE from what i hear the factories in china want to run day and nite non stop
and if they make too many parts.....
the venders like futaba and align do not buy up the over run the factory can and will sell on open market
real nice of futaba and others to use cheap labor and sell at hotair balloon prices
i dont blame china for clones one bit

RE: Becareful fake Futaba products on market
Futaba has a website about the fakes, but it is out of date
http://www.futaba-rc.com/techsupport/counterfeit.html
Fake gyros also now appear to have gold contacts on their connectors. The fakes use regular phillips screws on the bottom of the case, instead of security screws requiring a tri blade driver. If you open it up, the fake gyro contains a large metal nut inside of it! Link to pictures below.
Also, the product numbers on the bottom paper insert inside the plastic case are different. On the FAKE, the numbers are "07101492-1", and "GY401-020". On the real Futaba gyro, the numbers on the bottom of the case are "01101472-1", and "GY401-001".
A good thread with information about the fakes

Another thread on the fakes, including pictures

This is what the inside of the fake gyro looks like. Mine at least had a shiny nut inside it

This is what a REAL one looks like inside
