Using a training cable & two controllers for one heli

So, my eSky Honey Bee FPV2's controller has what looks like an S-Video socket in the bottom. It is my understanding that you can link two transmitters together with a cable for training purposes.

My questions are:

1)Is this a standard S-Video cable?
2)How does this actually work?I'm guessing that if the learner pilot gets into trouble, teacher pilot can take over with his controller, but how?Is the system set up so that any input on teacher's controller overrides the learner's controller?

Any help would be appreciated.
