configuring a Helimax AXE cp 2.4

I need some advice regarding using a heli max AXE CP 2.4 for use with the Tactic receiver TT650 and coresponding transmitter 624.6 channel receiver.
I upgraded to this new controller because the original manufacturers transmitter was destroyed.
I purched this one and transferred the helicopter's receiver directly over. All well and good as the channels seem to match up to the controls. The problem though is the swash plate does not seem to calibrate per the manufacturers instructions. The servo arms are not in the positions specified in the user manual.
Does anyone have any experience or advice on adjusting this helicopter to operate properly with the tactic reciever/transmitter combination.
I could also use some advice on calibrating the throttle as tocutoff and low power high power positions.
