Need Help with set-up.

I have purchased a Thunder Tiger R30V2 with OS .032 engine and a JR XP8103 radio. It has a +10/-0 pitch which leaves me no chance for auto rotation in case of engine failure. I purchased a pitch gauge but don't know how to set a +12/-3 with my radio. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks:confused:

Well I am not familiar with your radio, but I can give some advice. You need to adjust the pitch curves in your tx, lower half of the curve is for negative pitch and the upper half is positive. The heli mechanics will also ned to be set up correctly for the TX to do its job correctly as well.

Best bet is to try and find someone local to help you.

Thank You Les; I know the heli mechanics are set up properly as my mentor ( who passed away recently ) adjusted the pitch to -0 while I was learning due to a boom strike on landing to hard. I don't recall the sequence he used while doing so. I wished I had some body local to show me but I don't. Just need to find some one who is familiar with the XP8103. Thank you for your help, and hope to find someone on this site to assist me.

Steveob,

Just trying to be helpful here.
So first a question . . . do you have the 8103 manual ?

If not I think it is available on the site below ....

http://pdfretriever.com/ref_sien.php...981&lg=E&src=8

I will check if this URL is correct and confirm by editing or cancel it.

The URL above does take you to the 8103 manual if you do not have it already.

End .... Zor
