controller options?

newbie here.
I have played with the so called toy micro helios, such as Walmart and radio shack type. I am so use to the controls of those were the yaw is on the right joystick, and on my Blade MSR there on the left. Is there a controller where you can customize the controller, and isn't real expensive? I haven't played with the MSR to much cause I am so use to the other configuration. I bought the MSR used about 2 years ago, and only played with it a handful of times. I bought it cause I was told it is a good beginner model?
I would like to get more into this hobby slowly.

My advice is if you plan to get into the hobby slowly you should "relearn" the controls with the mSR. The mSr has standard controls you will use as you "move up" to collective pitch heli's. Those toy heli's will only screw up your muscle memory and make it hard to fly hobby grade heli's.

I agree with real2you. Relearn now so you're not on a island by yourself later. It won't take long to get the hang of it. I'm playing with a 3 channel now, but spend time on a simulator flying 4 channel and crashing 6 channel.

New here as well. I have mastered the Blade MCX2 and now would like to move to a single rotor. My dilema is that I their are very few options that will bind with a Futuba 2.4 transmitter. I purchased a T 8FG back in 2009 and didn't really want to purchase another transmitter just to fly heli's. Spectrum is looking better all the time simply because they are so many options.

The yaw was on the right because the controller was 3 channel heli. All of your controls were on the left side and throttle only on the right side. You need to learn how to use cyclic on the right and yaw control with your left. This Is one of the main reasons why heli's are more difficult. It requires an individual to control the heli with his left and right hand at the same time.
