Another Newcomer
 

Hi Gang, Well I'm hooked. Took a flight in a helicopter at the street fair and really got excited foe the flying rotor. I need to know which kit would be the best entry level RC chopper to buy. I have extensive flight experience with the planks. I am a instructor also and have the Dave Brown simulator. I am flying the entry level heli's fairly well. I am interested in the Thunder Tiger Raptor. should I start with a 30 size or go straifht to a machine that can be upgraded easily? I reolize that you need to walk befor you try to run. All advice is appreciated. :D

What do you want ?:

- A beginners heli ?: then the 30 or 50 are both good. The 50 will give you all you'll ever need.
- A heli you can upgrade ?: then you'll need or the 30 or the 60 (30 can be upgraded to 50, but not so good and 60 to 90, this one is extremly good.
- A good heli: then either the 30 or 50 will do (but again, the 50 will give you more power and you'll have everything you'll ever want in a heli. But offcourse later on you can still get a 60)

Go for any of the 50's, Rappy, Evo.....etc....the extra power helps you out of the mistakes.

i myself done lots of research and from what i can tell the raptor is the only way to go. there seems to be lots of em and the hawk sports also. i myself have a raptor 50v2 with a OS 50 engine and a jr xp8103 radio and 401 gyro, 9254 rudder servo and jr 811's digital servos all around. very nice heli! i recommend www.heliproz.com if ur in the US they are based in Billings Montana. good luck!

Thanks for the good advice - I think I will order the Raptor 50. I have heard alot of good about this one also. Being a new comer to helis is always interesting and I know you guys have been down that road already. Thanks again.

Raptor 50 The only way to go. I got mine at and saved 100.00. It got a ride on a plane form over seas. Had no problems ordering it Good luck http://www.heli-kraft.com/
