hey im new and i was wondering does anyone know how a radio works with the heli and if you start it with the cotrol sitting normal will it fire up and the blades spin or will it idle so what im saying is how do you start a heli with out the blades spining i know im asking a dumb question but im new and really dont understand it

With the throttle stick in the low or idle position the clutch wont engage when you start the engine. So the blades dont spin. Moving the stick forward speeds the engine, engages the clutch gradually and thus the blades spin.

Yes, the throttle hold switch is good for auto's, and maybe carrying your heli to the flightline for takeoff after starting. Yes you could start up your Heli while in throttle hold, just make sure your throttle hold settings are correct.

The Venture is a very nice Heli, I have over 50 flights on mine and it is awesome. Its not one of those high maintenance ships, you can just grab it and go. Its a excellent trainer, and the parts to replace are very inexpensive, if you have a boo boo. Daz...

Great Maxx, stick with it, I'm sure you'll get your Heli going soon. I wish I had the opportunity to learn this when I was 15. When you do get your Heli, make sure you get someone to help you out. The Heli's, and planes are very dangerous, and yes they can KILL you, so definetely get some adult supervision with it, when you get started. Good luck, Daz...

i got some supervison my mom has a friend from work who can help me my dads friend brandon and my dads boss are all into helis i have seen some pretty bad accidents finding hobbies my friend drove his rc car 1/8 scale buggy smack dead in the middle of his dads leg and it was busted in three places and i saw a video on the net of some gy who was playing with a heli and went to start it and his little 2yr old nailed the throttle and it when crunch broke his wrist leg and his 700 mm carbon v blades
