learning help!

Hello!
I bought a Raptor v2 and Jr 6102 FM and others things to setup the Helicopter. I put almost everything together, I hope I setup everything right. But now I don't have a clue how to setup the radio, programming etc... [:o]Is there someone can help me, please? I will appreciate very much to get start on this hobby.

Thanks
Edgard.

Raptor Technique has step by step setup for most popular heli radios including some good do's and don'ts.

I think the Thunder Tiger tech's read this web site.

I'd love to help you in more detail but I have been flying Futaba all my life. Well since I ditched my 2 channel cox/sanwa set that I learned how to fly my first glider on!

Isn't there a club close that can help you. I guarentee it will save you hours of frusteration, and you will learn the propper way to set it up and will learn a heck of a lot more about your heli with someone that can teach you. Makes it a lot better.

http://www.pilotlocator.net Will tell you if theres any registered pilots around you.

Also http://www.modelaircraft.org and you can search for clubs by zipcode.

If at all possible seek the help of an experienced pilot even if it means driving some distance to spend an afternoon or more with them. You have no idea how much aggrivation this will save! I went it alone some 20 years ago and back then there simply weren't too many people flying heli's. My learning curve was much longer than it should have been. Even when you get back home, it'll be so much easier to learn to hover it once it's set properly.

Good luck

WOW, I never realized you did it that way Mike. I did the same thing. Flew helis since the old Heliboy came out. Never used a gyro till a few years ago. My boss got into it and I flew his. What a difference. Just working with him and learning new stuff made it interesting again and got me going. I hadn't flown them in a while because I got bored with them. Now I am doing all kinds of stuff with them that a heli just shouldn't do. Getting friends into it that have never flown them and said they never would. So much nicer when you have guys in it that can help.

Isn't that the truth! Most of the guys I fly with aren't much help when it comes to helicopters because there's only 1 other heli pilot in our club. But I have learned a lot about flying airplanes from the other guys and have passed on a lot of stuff. You'll have a problem and someone will suggest something and you're like "Wow, I never thought of that"!
