What type of Battery would one use for the starter? Thanks in advance.

depends on starter.
Most have a 12v supply in flight box corded to starter.
or a cordless starter with what ever batteries it calls for.
I use a Green R/C cordless with 2 7 cell 3000MAH NiMH batteries giving me about 16 odd volts when full charged

I use a 7.2 AH 12V lead-acid gel cell battery. These are relatively inexpensive.

If you are trying to start a .90, don't use the standard hobby 12 volt. The amps required to turn over a 90 will quickly kill your battery. I use a mobility scooter battery with 35 amps and it works great. Charge it once every couple weeks.

Thanks guys. This has been a help. I have two 7.2 volt packs that I will use. Keep in mind I'm new to this can someone tell where i can find instructions on how to fuel up the heli?

Listen carefully. This advice may save your life, at the very least it will save you many dollars in replacement parts and hours of frustration.

If you don't know such basic information, find someone that knows what they are doing to show you and help you for your first flight/flights. Even if you have to drive an hour or two or more, the time and gas money you spend will be the best thing you did for yourself.
