Frequency Conversion.
 

Hi,

I have a JR 2610 radio @ 40.790 MHz and I wanted to order the FMA Co-pilot. they only sell the 72 MHz and the 35-36 MHz stuff. Can I change the 72 MHz receiver to match my 40.790 MHz frequency somehow?

P.S. I do not have access to fancy oscilloscopes.

I'd look for either a Tx that is in the right range, or a board/crystal set that puts your Tx in the right range. I know that you can change a 72 MHz Tx to a 75 MHz Tx with a change of the board and a new crystal... (At least thats what it says in the manual for the JR 6102.)

Thanks Gorgok... But board change [:-] that sounds EXPENSIVE! I just recovered from my first major crash. Not to mention the price of the Co-pilot! Forget it... I'll just learn to hover better and practice my autorotations well.

The board in my JR 6102 i mean is just the one where the crystal sits and the antenna connects to. I'm sure its still around $50 or more for replacing them (if you can find them). Its not the main board with all the stuff on it.

But yeah, i'd just learn to hover. Then you won't need a co-pilot at all!
