Ok i have a honey bee cp2. i had it for about a month noew. have few flights on it. Now it seems like the battery dies in about 2 mins of flight. Im not sure if its the battery or the motor. So i check the lipo battery to how much charge it had. And it have umm 11.9 volts. thats pretty full. So its not my battery what else could it be. i dont think its the pitch. and my blades are tracked good. the blades are a little dingged up but not that bad. Could it be my motor. I have been flying it without the canopy on so could dust and dirt got into the motor and ruined it. Should i get the stock motor or an upgrade and if so what upgrade? Help me out. The heli just seems to quit flying or no more lift after about 1-2 mins of flying. my battery is reading 11.90 volts so my battery is good. so what should i get now?

What are you using to read the voltage? A regular voltmeter or a battery checker that applies a load on the battery while checking it? A battery that's almost dead will still show near nominal charge (11 volts) as long as there is no load on the battery.

If you are using a voltmeter, then the charge on the (unloaded) battery could be almost anything. You need to find a battery checker for your type/size of battery.

If you are using a battery checker, I can't help you.

im just using a regual store baught volt meter. but how can both of my batteries be bad?

voltage is not an indication of charge capacity. a 200 mAh battery will have the same charged voltage as a 4000 mAh, how many mAh is your battery rated at and how many does it actually deliver???? you also have to check voltage under a load, your 'store bought' meter is most likely not loaded at all.

so what should i get i dont want to waste 30 bucks on a nw battery if thats not the problem.

without checking everything YOURSELF it's just an arbitrary guess as to what the problem might be. you didn't bother to answer questions asked, that would be a good start. see if the motor has excessive friction when you spin it, put an amp meter on it and see what it's drawing, etc........ do a few checks and report what you find.

If your using the charger and battery that came with your Honey bee chances are the one or the other is no good. My friend had the same problem with his HB and I loaned him one of my 1500 mah li-pos that was just laying around that I had not been charged in several weeks and the heli came to life like the day he bought it. I think he just bought a new charger and new batteries. You also may want to check to see if there's any stiffness in the drive tran. That can eat up batts real quickly.

I meant drive train. It's right over there. Under the blades like the main shaft and the related gears. Is the rotor head hard to turn by hand?

no the whole thing spins farley easly. so i think thats fine. im thinking about getting new blades and motor. and see if that helps. and then if its still wrong then i will buy a battery.

I can't see the blades causing your problem. The motor maybe.
