Installing Servos?
 

I was installing my servos yesterday and I noticed that the screw does not come with a nut.
After screwing them in they didn't seem very secure. Is this how they are supposed to be mounted? How tight should they be and should I get nuts for those screws?

What heli is it? Most have screws that thread into plastic and don't need nuts. If the screws are loose and can fall out, I would do something different. Make sure you have the right screws in holding them. Not the screws that came with the servos. Most helis come with the screws for their trays.

I have a Venture. The screws seem PRETTY secure (that is they won't fall off) but I 'm just afraid that with the vibration the servos may come loose. They just don't seem tight enough.

have a JR Venture, and I use the screws that came with the servos and not the ones that came with the heli (silly move, in retrospect). Should I replace them or just go with what I have?

The 811 servo screws seemed slightly larger than the heli screws (I think -- I don't have them in front of me now) but they went in the tray fine and without any strain.

Make sure that all of the screws go into those plastic eyelets on the heli. That will ensure that the servo does not move. Wiggle it with your hand to make sure. You certainly don't want a servo moving on you. With what you have said you should be fine. Congrats on selecting an awesome heli. I have been totally pleased with mine. What gyro and tail servo did you go with? I first had a JR 460T with a 537 servo. I switched to the GY 401 with 9253 servo and it has been total bliss. Hope this helped.
