ORIGINAL: scottydog10111 hi guys, i have been into rc for a while now and own a hobbyzone supercub and 2 rc cars, but christmas is coming and i was thinking of getting an rc helicopter, but i have never flown one before. my price range is about £150 - £200 and i could do with some information ASAP because christmas is soon lol. any ideas people? thanks The "toy" helicopters are limited. The 2 channel allow you to move up/down and rotate. Add a little weight to the nose, and it will move forward. The 3 channel allow you to move up/down, rotate, and move forward/backward. The 4 channel coaxial (like Blade mCX) start getting closer to a real heli. With the addition of the swashplate, you can move up/down, left/right, forward/backward and rotate. The 4 channel fixed pitch is very close to a real heli, and can be a handful to control. Whatever you get, make sure you can find parts for it. -Dave |
