Engine/Throttle curve setup

Just a quick question, If I set my engine up using Headloaders and get that running right, then set all my pitch curves in each mode etc should it be a question of just adjusting my throttle curves to get it flying right/smooth with the correct headspeed, I shouldn't have to adjust engine or pitch setting again or should you ?
Also when using headloaders does it matter what throttle curve you have should I just put 0 25 50 75 100 to set the engine?

Simon.

Headloaders are balls on the end of rods about 6" long and they fit where your blades go, so you can tune your engine without the heli lifting of the ground. The balls simulate the load that the blades would give. You can give full throttle and tweak your main engine needle.

Goto http://www.revolutionmodels.co.uk you can see what they look like under 'General accessories'

Very handy tool.

headloaders only simulate a load on the engine to help with the MIXTURE setup of the engine.

pitch and throttle curves will have to be setup at the field with the blades on.

most guys start with the throttle linearly as 0,25,50,75,100 and adjust as neccesary.

the pitch simply needs to be setup with lowest pitch you want on the bottom and highest on the top, then set all middle settings to make it linear from the bottom to the top.

example may be -1degrees to +9 degrees.
The curve may look like 25,40,55,70,85.

25 = -1deg
85 = +9 deg

youll need a pitch guage unless you just eyeball it and fine tune it at the field.
