Heli Motor
I'm new to the hobby so I'm not sure what to look for in an R/C engine.
I'm building a Sikorsky S-64 Sky Crane (see below). It is meant to carry heavy loads (that means high RPM right?)
So i guess I'm looking for a light but powerful engine.
Can you help?

RE: Heli Motor
My friends and I plan on lifting a max of 10 extra pounds or more...
It all depends on how heavy the helicopter is, It will be made of light weight metal (likely aluminum). That's also why we want a light engine.
Hope that helps you help me

RE: Heli Motor
you realize from starting with nothing to getting a heli to lift 10 pounds, you will be out AT LEAST $1,000, probably quite a bit more if you want to go scale...

RE: Heli Motor
I thought it was already built. He has a picture of it right there in front of the little house. Maybe you can lift 3lb for $300, I'm not sure. How much you got?

RE: Heli Motor
Sorry I was posting in the beginner's forum and decided to post in the general forum when no one replied but I can't delete the other posts that are in the beginner's forum.
I will keep my posts more isolated next time.
Now, "Raydee" could you change that last reply? It's upseting the guests.
