Hypothetically speaking, if I were to get a glow/gas heli years from now, would a Vario helicopter be okay? I'm a little confused about their terminology when it boils down to what's a entry-level helicopter. Benzin Trainer? Colibri?

I never read about Vario helicopters anywhere, nor do I see them much. Note I'm bringing up something for later in the future, I'm not buying a regular helicopter yet. I've got a Housefly right now, and may be returning it for an XRB lama (dual rotor opposite direction). Had issues with the first one, defective, next one will be fine but after reading reports about quality I'd rather get an XRB lama. Reflex XTR is also on the way, should be here Wed. Just looking for opinions. The reason I bring up the Benzin Trainer is I'd much rather have something with Gas, not glow fuel. Just me...[&:]

Hi,
You want to stick with a raptor or sceadu 30 size to start out with... parts are very cheap, and tehy fly well. Nobody around here flies vario stuff, so it will be hard for you to get help...you will need help
Things have slowed down this winter, but if you ever want to meet us out at the field, marrymoor or snohomish, drop me a PM.

where did you film the video with the fireworks and the heli? Marymoor? How'd you get authorization to do that?[X(] Really cool, possibly dangerous, but cool. Hope to find good deals at the upcoming Puyallup expo. This e-sailpilot-RCU thing is driving me nuts.... I just wanna log in!!!
