I wonder how hard it would be to trace the side plates out onto carbonfiber, I just dont trust that much metal on something that when you get metal to metal movement the radio goes bonkers.

and how hard would it be to put small servos in to save some wieght with that metal frame ????

You would get a worse result using a conductive material like carbon fiber.

The US version of the Quickie .15 will have G-10 Side frames. It is lighter than the aluminum too.

Default frames ???

I don't understand....
Your side frames are aluminum, HHI says the frames are G-10.
Is the USA version different ?

Thanks, Chuck

He has a kit that was directly from japan. Our version will have slight differences, like the aluminum vs. g10 frames.

The only difference between the US and JP versions is the G10 frames. All other components will be the same. In Japan, the G10 is an option part.

Default Engine

Here's a link for an alternate engine than the OS 15-CVA

It's a bit pricy, but will most likely fit, and puts out over twice the HP of the one currently being used in the heli. It has the heat sink and a rotary carb.

OS Buggy Engine

By the looks of the heli, there should be plenty of space for this engine and it would mount right in place of the engine that they were using at the shop.

Paul,

Here is a picture of the canopy. http://www.quickheli.com/Q15-07Canopy.jpg First production of kits will have a fiberglass canopy, but we are making a blow molded canopy.

Sincerely,
Jon Yuhas

Jon:

What blades come with the heli and which ones are you recommending for aerobatic flight?

I heard that the rotor diameter is the same as the voyager E, but can this heli use the same blades?

MS Composit makes a nice set of blades for the Voyager E.

I will measure the blade grip tonight on my Voyager E.

Default Q15 sales

Who sells the Q15 in the USA? The website you listed is so vague and ambiguous it is pathetic. It lists no details, few specifications, etc. What is the parts availability situation ofr it? Does it comes with blades? What kind of blades are avialble, only wood, fiber, CG, etc? I really want one of these but they are hard to find out about. Thanks, James "[email protected]"

Go to http://www.hhiheli.com and select Quick Helis

Select parts for parts for the quick, remember, they use most of the same parts for the 15-60

Yes, it comes with 440mm Woodies, but he also sells carbons for it, and you can put any blade made for the Eco8 on it too. I bought 470 MS Carbons for mine.

THey are a little hard to find right now as they sold out quickly.

good luck

Jim!
