BTW; "Little Bird" was most often used to describe the OH6 loach sent ahead of the gunships to generally piss the VC off and get them to fire...then the Huey's hosed the area down with 5" rockets and/or MG fire. Loaches (like door gunners :stupid: ) were considered expendible! In 1971 there was a loach driver named Capt. Scott that lost 4 OH6's in one 24 hr. period! Of course, those 4 birds cost less than one AH64D today... Chris
