Default BLS251 servo, G7703d Gyro, and futaba RX

Does any one know if these three components would work together: Futaba BLS 251 servo, JR G7703d Gyro, and Futaba RX?

I was told that they would. The G7703D manual doesn't give a warning note that G7703D would not work with other brand name servos as older JR gyro manuals stated.

But, I also saw many discussion stating that JR gyros will not work with Futaba servos.

Help!![sm=confused.gif]

I've never used a JR gyro with a Futaba servo myself but I'm sure there are guys out there using the 770 3D w/ a 9650 on a 450 size. I think the older gyros all worked on a different frequency from the competitors servos, haven't heard of any conflicts like that for newer stuff except for some comments about the GY401 and the 3400. Never tested that one though.

The gyro will work with the reciever, as I mentioned, that servo won't work with that gyro. Just the 601, 611, Solid-G, and CSM SL720.

Have any of you dealt with "Quick World Wide" (http://www.quickworldwide.com/)?

They claim that these combinations will work.

Irwin is a recognized expert in many facets of R/C helicopters, I would take his advice without hesitation.

Make sure he's willing to stand behind his statement with replacement parts first though

I am glad you mentioned about Irwin because he was the one who gave me the advice in person and through email and sold me the Gyro and servo.
He showed me his helicopter with same configuration, but it was sitting on a table instead of flying in the air.

I talked to both Futaba and JR customer support and they both cannot and would not guarantee that it would work.

So, you would blindly take Irwin's advice and risk your $1500 heli knowing that everyone around you against the idea.[sm=75_75.gif]

Um....no, I wouldn't listen to a word he says unless he can prove to you that you can put the 770 gyro into short pulse mode. (hint: I have one sitting here and you can't) Some people mistake the DS mode switch, which increases the frame rate from the defualt 50 hz to 270 or 333 hz for digital servos and high speed rudder servos like the 8900g. But that does NOT change the fact that the center pulse is 1500us. The BLS-251 is made for short pulse systems (720us center), infact if you have one you will notice the instructions say that its for 601 and 611 gyros only. In reality it also works with the Solid-G, CSM SL720, and the Spartan gyros, but they must be specifically configured to use it.

Bottom line, I have both sitting here, and I've done a little bit of this heli stuff, and I'm telling you that you will burn up that servo.

Get an 8900g, its lightning fast, and made for that gyro.
