Default Black Hawk 450 SE RTF problems

Hi boys

I would like to tell something to all those that want to buy the Black Hawk 450 SE RTF. I have had the following problems:

1) the fly bar it has arrived to me very folded up
2) in the stick of left it misses the bolt to stop and to regulate the height
3) there are no instructions of the radio
4) there is not the cable of connection to the computer
5) the instructions are really incomplete
6) the seller, after he had sold me the heli, he answer me: "sorry but I didn't have any spare parts"
7) it is really difficult to find the spare parts

I believe that these things must be reported so that the sellers will become more serious towards the buyers, especially if beginners.

Best regards

how did you pay? by CC put a claim and send it back. Paypal, you can put a claim as your item is not as advertised.

Hi f5air
Thanks for the suggestion. I have paid with my credit card. But I live out of USA and to shipping back the package to the sender means to lose many money. I have to add that the seller has not even answered to my claim, done for e-mail.
Regards

gemello ,
Where did you buy it?
What do you mean "in the stick of left it misses the bolt to stop and to regulate the height"? If you are refering to the ratchit that you have on the thottle stick its missing because its a Heli. Most heli pilots dont use the ratchet on the trottle.

Hi ea01bg
I am trying to understand what is the ratchit. I will make you know.

Hi JeffB99
Please let me know. Meanwhile I tell you that I have already had 3 problems: landing skid, spindle shaft and 1 servo. They are really fragile.

The ratchet is a small piece of ridged metal under the throttle stick. If you move the throttle stick up and down and it is smooth and has no noise, there is no ratchet. If you move it and it feels notched or rough and makes a clicking sound, it is ratcheted. The purpose of the ratchet is simply to help hold the throttle stick in one spot. It is not good for helicopters because they require tiny changes in throttle position, and a ratcheted throttle will make it next to impossible to hold the heli at say, eye level. With the ratchet, one click will be descend, and the next click will make it climb, when you need the space in between the clicks to hold it level. Helis are fragile, if you crash them, or land them kind of hard, or if the blades touch anything while spinning, shafts will bend, links and skids will break, and servos will strip gear teeth. If these things seem to fragile to you, maybe you should rethink the way you fly.

How much heli experience do you have? Where exactly did you buy the heli from?

Hi Bugzilla,
Thanks for the explanation: I have understood what is the ratchet.
The piece that it missed however is a small screw that it serves to block the stick after having lengthened it or shortened. I say that some pieces of the Black Hawk 450 If RTFs are fragile because I compare them with the Blade CP. I am learning using both and naturally the hard landings or crash are inevitable.

Yes Bugzilla. You are right; however even if these gentlemen are behaved very bad, I don't want to damage them. I believe that it is enough that Who wants to buy the Black Hawk 450SE RTF (that seems to me a beautiful helicopter) They know my experience.
It is better to buy it from experienced sellers, with spare parts, even if it costs a little more.

Well, I wouldn't buy from them again, if nothing more than for the fact they don't seem to support what they sell. You are the only person I have heard complain about any weaknesses the BH has other than inferior electronics, and even then, they don't usually complain about them untill they start to get into 3d. I think you got a bum bird from a bum source. FYI, many of the T-Rex parts will fit the BH, and I have never heard anyone say those parts are weak under normal use.

Hi Bugzilla
I have straightened the spindle shaft folded up and I am shure that the metal is not enough heavy. I asked many sellers that they have spare parts and the spindle shaft are out of stock. The Microheli has meny model of spindle shaft havy duty but I am not shure whitch could be ok or to be easily adapted with a moto tool. If you know, please advise me.

Try [link=http://www.ka-planes.com/black_hawk_450_parts?b=1]HERE.[/link] They have all parts for the BH in stock, and compatible Align parts.

I tried, but again out of stock!!! You are right, they are serious, they did answer my e-mail and they said that the heavy duty spindle shaft will be in stock next week. I hope so.
Thanks
