Yes it does extreme 3d quite well. The ARC motor is not out for retail yet. Its still been tested, however; you can ask Dave from Lightflightrc.com. He may have more now that he's ready to sell.

I would be very carefull about fitting it on an IC powered heli . I don't know how it would put up with the vibration ,not just it's ability to filter out any vibration - how well made it it ? Will the vibration shake it to bits ?. However , a club mate is thinking about trying it on his Raptor 70 . I've tried to talk him out of it - I know it'll be me that has to set it up and test fly it for him !

I have this gyro on my 450 with a Hyperion DS11 GCB servo and the chinese weight mod. Performance is excellent. I also have another new one sitting on the shelf for my next build.

This is a very good gyro, but for best results use a digital tail servo. I tried it with a few different analog servos and the gyro only gives average performance. I threw a cheap digi on and it went from soso to excellent. The digital is much easier to set up as well.

Gyro arrived today. Exactly 3 weeks to the day. Not so bad for this kind of deal.

dude7442, I just ordered the gyro only, that was all for a first time order. For the cost, i guess the wait is worth it if you still have something to fly in the mean time. My plan is to install this gyro in a TR 450 when i have enough equipment together to assemble the TR600 that is still in kit form. At that point the Futaba 401 will go in the 600. So, it may be a while before i even try out this 401B. I did receive just last week a screw set and ended up buying them from Horizon along with some other items. $2.47 is a very good price if the shipping is not too bad.

It appears to be exactly the same. You may be better off being the one that had to wait on yours from Deal Extreme. Mine not only arrived in packaging for a lipo battery, it has been used or at least "messed" with. What a bummer. [>:]

You can see where the metal around the limit switch is bent probably from a metal screwdriver and you can also see that the switch has been turned by someone not being careful as there are screwdriver marks in the plastic. There is a plastic film covering the DS and DR switches. That film has been cut in to and I assume the switches changed for what ever reason. I have sent an e mail to Deal Extreme. If they replace it, that is fine, if not they are off the list for future orders. I am now quite leary to even try it out not knowing if it has been crashed or otherwise damaged internally. I will follow up with their reply as soon as i get one. Not a big deal but the mounting tape and plastic screwdriver are missing too.

That part is not a big deal or a show stopper by any means. The instructions do show the mounting tape and screwdriver though. It is the fact it is not 100% new is what is bothering me.

The gyro from Deal Extreme uses a different sensor than the one from XMSeller. Interesting enough, if you go on ebay and find the gyro xmseller is selling, you can make an offer of $25 and it will be accepted. Shipping is $5 though. Plus XMseller is in California and ships much quicker than dealextreme. There is a big thread on this gyro over in Ezone in the Electric Heli forum.
