Weird blade sound
Blade 400 / 3D blades
Has anyone ever used 3D CF blades. I was doing some maneuvers today and when I switched the switch to 3D, it had a sound like it was hitting tin. Or maybe it sounded like an overspeed. I have never heard that before and these blades are new. Has anyone else ever experienced something like this?

I don't know what could be causing your issue? Maybe some delamination somehwere. There have been a number of threads, in various heli forums, about various QC issues with some of these blades.

At another forum, they all seem to be agreeing that it is the balancing tape that is making the noise. I switched some blades around to where I don't need any tape and will try it again.
