flybar help

I did not configure my controller right and my new falcon 40 crashed hard. Both rotors broke and by flybar paddles were twisted. Is there an optimal angle for the flybar paddles to be at?

RE: flybar help

if you look  from the end of the paddle twords the head you want your paddle to be as perfectly inline with the cage as possible and you also want to make sure the  bar itself is has the same amount of distance from the end of it to where it enters the cage on both sides  then after your put the paddles on the measurement  between the cage and the paddle (inner or outer) is the same distance.

the cage being what? where the actual bar goes in? if that is it then they pretty much need to be parallel to the rotors?

There is no pretty much in setting up a heli , everything needs to be spot on or else well as you stated in your first post the heli will crash hard.

And yes the cage is the thingy the flybar rod goes through.

okay so just a recap, the flybar needs to be parallel to the cage and rotors. Thanks for the help!

Who makes that Falcon 40? It looks like a direct copy of a Century Hummingbird I had 10 years ago. I heard they had sold the molds to someone and I was wondering who, so that I can get parts for it.

RE: flybar help

Exceed-RC makes it. I bought mine off of X-heli.com. not a bad deal. One other question though, on X-heli none of the falcon 40 models have the battery compartment like the one above. They are all underneath the canopy. Is that a problem?
