Training Gear
 
ive flown with the gear on but i feel it seems to slow the heli down, should i remove it?, im quite confiedent about hovering.

If you feel like you can handle it, which it sounds like you can and you can take off & land w/o the heli going crazy, go for it. Like Spiff said you're probably ready. The fear factor goes up a bit, at least it did for me, but that's all part of the fun & excitement of it all :D

If you like, you can make an intermediate landing gear set. just use one of the sticks, with a ball on each end. wire tie it to the struts an inch or two above the skids so the skids take all of the weight but the stick is still there to keep the heli from tipping over. I did it that way, but i didn't realy need it. When i started wondering if it was time, it realy was time to lose the training gear.

Would be a good idea to practice nose in hovering on the simulator. After a while it gets easy.

If you are flying it around, you are long over due to get rid of the training gear. Sounds like you are doing great. Take them off. You will like it.
