Fly Bar

Just set up my first Heli!! A Hirobo Sceadu 30, but the fly bar is really loose, by that i mean that if you touch it slightly it falls to one side!!
Is this normal or do i need to tighten it till it is alot stiffer.

Thanks

HI.
If you mean it rocks side to side with ease, thats ok.
All it means is that you have no binding and thats how it should be :D :D :D

I hope that helps.Roy :)

What happens is that it tilts to one side and just stays there :(

HI.
Thats ok.When the head spins up it will then go leval.
The most important thing is that the padels on the end of the flybar are the same distance apart.
Hope that helps

Two things:

1. Are you sure your flybar is balanced, because it needs to be. If it always falls to the same side with all your linkages attached, then it's out of balance, and man, you have some seriously friction-free linkages!! :D (I'm impressed)

2. On the Sceadu, the flybar "cage" is a touch longer than the see saw, which means that there may be a gap that allows the flybar/cage to have a little side-to-side play. You need to eliminate this play. Loosen one of the flybar set screws and then squeeze the ends of the flybar cage together until there is no gap, then retighten the set screw.

The flybar needs to be free to rock on the see saw and that is normal. As trytofly says, it will become level when the rotor is spinning. But it needs to be balanced and slop free.
