RE: Helli head speed?
anywhere between 1700-1900 is the range for any type of helicopter. I prefer 1800 for most, but the fury I have seems to be fine at 1900.

RE: Helli head speed?
Thank you for that, do you run the same head speed in all modes?
at the moment I'm running 1650 in normal mode and 1700 in idle up one and 1750 in idle up two |
RE: Helli head speed?
When I fly I only use one flight mode with a headspeed of 1800. Every pilot has their own setting and if you do some experimenting you will find an area that you like. If 1650-1750 is good for then you should stick with it.

RE: Helli head speed?
trevorroper , what type of flying are you doing? if you are doing forward flight with minor aerobatics and mostly hovering type maneuvers than keep your head speed around 1700. if you are doing 3D or advanced aerobatics then 1800 to 1900 will be fine
what gearing are you using? and are you using a govenor? da_man do i know you? Alan..... |
RE: Helli head speed?
Been flying fixed wing for some time always hated hellis untill I flew my first one!!!!!
I can't put them down now! Not been flying them long in fact just starting my 4th gallon of fuel. So not doing 3D yet! I can fly circuits, loops, rolls, 180 stall turns and last flight my first pirouette! I can't remember gearing of the top of my head but it's standard. I am using a Futaba GV1 Govener. I live in the country so help is hard to find, so finding this web site has been a real help! |
