Fury basic vs. expert

I am sure thi shas been debated before but I did a search and did not get anything.

There is an initial cost savings of buying the basic, of about $120, but in a crash, is there still any cost savings of owning a basic over an expert?

I like the xcell line and would like to not fear a crash as much by having something a little less expensive in the air.

Thanks

The difference between the basic and Expert is not really anything that would normally be damaged in a crash.
The Expert comes with the Metal head block, the constant drive tail auto unit, the servo output shaft supports and the metal washout base. Other than those items the basic and Expert are the same heli and have the same parts.

Interesting, thanks for the input. So initial cost is the only savings. It does buy a pair of nice blades though.

Yes that is true, but look at what you get for the $150 dollars difference in the Basic and the Expert

0866-1 Constant Drive Auto Unit Retail $184.95
0844 Aluminum Head Block Kit Retail $85.95
0571 Aluminum Washout Hub Retail $21.95
115-87 Servo Doubler Kit Retail $45.95

Total Retail $338.80

Less 13% off retail that most hobby shops sell parts for $294.75

So that difference in kit price between the basic and expert is worth a lot more than $150 when you look at buying the parts

Wolfgang
Yes you are correct , the expert comes with the Carbon Tail boom, I forgot about that, so that is another $35 retail price part also.
